Cook County Sheriff’s Central Warrants Unit Offers Data Search Page to Public

By Nottage and Ward on January 15, 2013

Both parents should want the best for their children after a divorce. Unfortunately the truth is that hundreds of Cook County parents fail to pay court-ordered child support. The Cook County Sherriff’s office has created a website where the public can gain access to publicly available information regarding those individuals for whom child support warrants have been issued. At, the persons listed on the database have, or have had in the past, warrants for their arrests in the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Purpose of Public Access

The purpose of allowing citizens access to this database, including subjects who have outstanding child support warrants, is to make Cook County residents aware of persons considered wanted within the community. The website serves as a way for citizens to provide information that might lead to knowledge of the offenders’ whereabouts.

Guilt and Innocence

Appearance on the database does not indicate either guilt or innocence. Individual citizens are to take no action against those on the list. Only law enforcement officers can make arrests. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office does update the information contained in its database to ensure it is accurate and complete. Visitors to the website are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (708) 865-4915 during the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM if they believe any of the information provided to be inaccurate.

Please Help

By providing access to this database, the Cook County Sheriff’s office is hoping to receive the assistance of the public in locating “dead-beat parents” who choose not to pay child support. These parents are wanted for owing thousands of dollars in child support.

If there are issues between you and your former spouse regarding child support payments, regardless of whether you owe or are owed payments, contact the experienced Illinois child support lawyers at Nottage and Ward. Five Stars5 Leslie has been the strongest representation I could ask for

Leslie has been the strongest representation I could ask for in a very complicated, emotional matter. She has continuously looked out for my best interest and the best interest of my son. She is always prompt in getting back to me and in keeping me well informed about my case.
